Yet another Blue Note find ! For sale is a copy of Lee Morgan's 1960 album "Leeway" issued on Blue Note Records. Catalogue number BLP 4034. This is a mono pressing and not a Liberty records reissue. Contains the New York USA labels on both sides of the LP. This is actually a 1963 pressing of the original 1960 47 West 63rd issue. RVG and the "Ear" mark appear in the dead wax on both sides. Vinyl is G+/VG-/VG. This was a tough LP to grade because the LP appears in pretty good shape, but when held to the light, it shows some light to moderate surface wear. Side two contains a few more scuffs than side one. Contains light spindle marks on both sides. Overall, the label and the LP are in very good shape. Sounds great ! Mastered by the legendary Rudy Van Gelder. Played back with an Ortofon MC 10 Super cartridge. Cover is VG/VG- with a little bit of wear, though the most wear is to the top of the cover where it appears a Cat may have used it as a scratching post at one point. But the cover, front and back, are in nice shape. The original shrink wrap was removed years ago. Evidence of this is just on the inside of the cover where Scotch tape was used to hold the shrink wrap in place. All that is left are the adhesive tape marks. Aside from that, there is no writing, no splits and no major ring wear. The back cover slick is super clean, however there are a few little bitty brown spot stains on the back, but are hardly visible. The spine is in lovely shape and is completely readable. Comes with original inner sleeve. Item shipped in a cardboard cover with cardboard pads for extra protection. Record will be separated from the cover to prevent any damage. Also comes in a brand new outer plastic sleeve and a Discwasher inner sleeve. Comes from a non-smoking and pet-free environment.
