Description

Blue Note 1538 is Lee Morgan - Indeed! Joining Mr. Morgan are Clarence Sharpe,
Horace Silver, Wilber Ware, and Philly Joe Jones.
The tunes are;

This deep groove copy is a MONO pressing with 167 Lexington Ave NYC
address on the label. It has the RVG and the "ear" stamp in the run-off grooves, as well
as BN-LP-1538-A (or B)
The address on the jacket is 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21
The vinyl we are calling VG++, with a few sleeve burns and minor lines. It plays through
beautifully and sounds great. If it weren't a vintage Blue Note record, we
would have graded this one as EX.
It is nice and loud, with tons of presence. There is an occasional pop.
It will be cleaned with a VPI machine before it leaves our warehouse.
The jacket has a piece of (old) clear tape across the top spine, that we wouldn't
have noticed except there is a bit of stickiness just above Lee's R eye, and it
is beginning to come up near the opening. Otherwise, the lamination has dulled
slightly, and there is some visible wear on the other spines, yet they are intact.
There is slight yellowing visible on the perimeter of the back. VG++ (see photos)

We package our LPs in a thick cardboard LP mailer. We ALWAYS take the LP out of the jacket to
avoid any seam splitting that could occur in shipment. We put the LP and the jacket in an LP plastic sleeve.
We float the LP between cardboard and 2 sheets of bubble wrap. We use shipping tape on all
spines to protect the integrity of the box, and to insure the safety of the contents.
All this is included in the low shipping price. We will clean your purchase on our
VPI machine if and when necessary. This insures that you receive your item in the best possible condition.

LP SHIPPING
We use the US Postal Service’s Media Mail for shipping in the U.S.
The buyer pays a shipping, packing (see above) and handling fee of $4.00 for the first
12"or LP and 50c for each additional item in the same package.
This includes USPS delivery confirmation (US only), box & packing material.

Shipping to other countries is by the United States Postal Service's First Class Mail International.
The rates for overseas is $17.50 for the first item, with an added $2.50 for each additional album.

Shipping to Canada is $13.50 for the first item, with an added $1.50 for each additional album.

Side 1 has 9M etched in the run-off groove It does not appear to have a "flat edge". Or maybe we aren't sure just how to identify one...we find no photo examples on the internet to explain. And yes, we have read Larry Cohn's description on the Jazz Collector page. If it refers to the lack of a "lip" on the edge, we don't see it... but I'd hate to say so emphatically...if someone could point us to a photo example, or a way to definitively identify one, please enlighten us.
