Description
Here we have Led Zeppelin I. 1969 1st pressing. This one has the Purple/Brown Atco label. How and why this occurred is still unclear and widely debated. There are also claims of an alternate mix on this one. I have no idea. There is also stories that this was pressed by RCA at their Indianapolis Plant. However the label print and matrix numbers do not support this as the PR, I believe, means Presswell. Who knows.
While this may not be the most valuable Zeppelin record, it may have the most interesting story, one that has yet to be finished.
Matrix info is as follows:
Side 1 - ST-A-681461 PR 2S A2
Side 2- ST-A-681462 PR 4S A1
The LP is in nice condition. Only a couple of light marks on either side. Still has a nice glossy finish. The cover is great other than a name written on it. No splitting.
