Description
6-LP Led Zeppelin Box Set on the Atlantic Records label 7567-82144-1. Relatively few of these RARE German (Alsdorf) Pressings were made.
I have recently bought the Led Zep 2015 remasters so these are surplus to requirements.
This comes complete with the original booklet and poster - both in excellent condition.
The box set has been owned from new by myself and only played on my high end turntables (LP12/Ittok/Karma and more recently Garrard 401/Artemiz / DV17D3).
Whilst the LPs are generally in VGC and have been cleaned on a professional cleaner, there are three small pressing imperfections on Records 1 and 6.
Record 1 has two small white patches (approx 2.5mm dia) one on side Side 1 and one on side 2. These appear to be just colour imperfections in the vinyl on close examination as they still contain the grooves. There are some slight surface scuff marks over these as I originally tried to rub what I thought were dirty spots off.
Record 6 Side 1 has a small raised pressing imperfection in the lead-in groove.
I have tried to capture these in the pictures below (and appear to have made them look worse than they do to the naked eye!).
The important thing is that thay dont cause my stylus to skip or jump and only a very feint click can be heard when tracked over.
Otherwise the vinyl is in great condition.
The box iself has been repaired with a little clear tape on two of the top corners. The bottom box was originally supplied with some bonded black foam which has deteriorated over the years. As such I have removed it and replaced it with a piece of grey foam.
