Description

This is a very rare and hard-to-find version of Led Zeppelin's self-titled debut album with a PURPLE and GOLD Atlantic labels.  These labels were only used on a few Atlantic albums in late 1968 and early 1969.  Atlantic officially switched to the red and green labels in late 1968, prior to the release of this album, but a few were pressed with the Purple and Gold.  It is also rumored that this album actually has a different mix of music or recording and a notable pause between Black Mountain Side and Communication Breakdown.  It is possible a Led Zeppelin expert may be able to tell other differences.
