Description

Led Zeppelin IV Gatefold LP - on Atlantic Label (Cat K50008)
UK Pressing 1972

+ Inner Lyric Sleeve

In early 1972 the distribution of Atlantic records in the UK was changed from Polydor to Kinney. All catalogue numbers were then changed to a "K" prefix. The first copies of Led Zeppelin IV pressed after this change had dual matrix numbers  -  both the first pressing 2401012 'A3/B4' and the later K50008 A/B  -  in the run-out grooves.

Other features on this record are:

No ZOSO symbols on the labels

Porky and Pecko Duck etched into the run-out groove.

Green & orange labels with no Warner Brothers logo.

Mispressed Misty Mountain 'Top' label rather than 'Hop'.

Crossed out and altered matrix number on side 1.

Original matt gatefold cover
