This sale is for a NM Led Zeppelin II, SD8236, RLss both sides, White Label Promo, generation II, CTH press, first stamper Robert Ludwig's famous hot mix record. The best I've ever seen!
Your chance to own the most rare of the rare, I am the biggest seller of RLss records on eBay. I've sold every version many times over. I have an impeccable reputation for selling these records. You are buying from a known reputable seller with history of selling these type of records. This is the very best one I've ever had to date, and it can't get any better! It just can't unless you acquire the acetate disc, and that will not sound better, it will only be worth more!
This RLss Promo is a second generation. Both Monarch and Columbia Terra Haute were the only presses that made this version, but Monarch never made it as a white label promo. It is even more rare then the first generation with the very narrow side two dead wax. CTH pressed about 2000 of the regular red and green label second generation RLss. That is how many records you get if you are lucky from each plate. So their are roughly about 2000 of the standard red and green label versions of this record and I'd bet just hundreds or less of the white label promo which were pressed right after the test records. Keep in mind the 200,000 or so of the side two very narrow dead wax of the first generation RLss. And we all know how rare those are.....and their were 200 thousand of those cut! Now imagine a second generation CTH with white Label Promo in Near Mint condition! What?....about 10, maybe 20 on the planet? The sound quality is exactly the same if not better! Everyone knows that the master tapes that made the famous Led Zeppelin II were dubbed over once thus creating an unintentional echo, the very echo that makes Robert's voice repeat on "Whole Lota Love" well, for the very first time out of all of the RL's I've ever had, I heard the echo at a loud level, but clearly to start side two! That will tell you how close it is to the master tapes. Nothing was lost on the second generation, in fact......I feel that the side two sound stage is better on this version.
Lead in and lead outs are silent. False ending is the best it can be, none better. No man made ticks, no man made pops, no static. Record is in NM condition like the day back in 1969 Indiana it was pressed! Of course no skips, but that goes without saying. This is a play graded record for the audiophile collector.   This is an 1A and 1A stamper. That's right.....double A!
Thick matte original cover is in Near Mint NM condition as well, Promo sticker unscuffed in NM condition was well. Record comes with original inner sleeve that has retained all of its bright colors. It looks new too! No tears, splits or writing on the cover, labels or inner sleeve. Spindle hole is tight, not much play time on this record at all, if ever!  No spindle marks on labels, which is hard because the White Label Promo labels were not finished like the regular red and green labels. They are just flat white matte. This record will increase in value with each year.......
I have a very extensive Led Zeppelin collection. I sell the most RL's on eBay, maybe the world for that matter. These are coming from my private collection.
I professionally pack and ship records like this with insurance and signature requirements. These records have been professionally cleaned and do not need to be touched for a very very long time if ever.
