Description

Led Zeppelin I Vinyl. First Press. First Issue. Turquoise Cover.

Matrix 588171 A1 uncorrected - superhype music/ jewel music red and plum Atlantic

This is one of the rarest records in the uk. zep where a struggling band finding it difficult to shift their first run if their first album. Then John Peel the album from start to finish . The album sold out - and then Atlantic moved to orange label cover.

Even the 2nd - 5th press orange edits go for many hundreds.. so having a turquoise First edit/ first press is quite the rarity.

We own a record shop in the new forest and buy collections. This was in a collection we just acquired.

We played the record - and there are cracks on the stylus but no skips or jumps. It plays very smoothly on our standard Pro Ject III in store

There are skate marks across the whole record. Hence such a low grading. But no scratches that effect the playing.

The record has been played many times but there are no scratches that stops the playing or aesthetic of the record.

Good/ good is below average for a used record. We are grading so low so as not to disappoint. We always undergrade and therefore have few issues when selling vintage and rare stock.

But In reality - it really is higher.

But do look closely at the pictures please. Some moisture damage to the bottom left of the sleeve. The inner is great. The record plays very very well.

So someone is going to get a bargain and an unbelievable piece of rock history.

We are going to start the auction quite low for the record. Keeping in mind we have seen worse exhibits go for over £1000.

Good luck and happy bidding.
