Description

Biete hier die LP „Volume 2“ von Johnny Griffin an. Erschienen 1957 bei Blue Note, Katalognummer 1559. Es handelt sich um die erste US Pressung in Mono mit Deep Groove auf beiden Seiten des Labels.

Diese Platte ist ein echtes Highlight der frühen Hardbop-Phase und sehr gesucht.

In der Auslaufrille steht: RVG und  BN-LP-1559-A bzw. -B eingeritzt sowie das Ear, eigentlich ein „P“ für Plastylite.


Label Adresse: 47 West 63rd New York 23 auf beiden Seiten, Kein „Inc“, kein „R“ auf beiden Seiten: Das identifiziert die Pressung als Erstauflage.
