This record has been cleaned and played through completely both sides on a Thorens Turntable as well as visually inspected under a bright halogen desk lamp to provide an accurate grading.
LP’s are packed outside their covers to guard against ring-wear & splits during transit and then placed inside a plastic outer protective sleeve for safe delivery.

DESCRIPTION
A terrific copy of this long deleted 2nd and final album from under-rated Sydney hard working rock band Finch. Their debut album ‘Thunderbird’ is now considered a semi-prog rock rarity and this effort isn’t that far from the mark either. Whilst the slow-tempo ballad-ish single ‘Where Were You’ rocketed to the top of the charts the remainder of the songs found here are in contrast consisting of more mainstream rock tracks with some neat guitar work.This probably didn’t appeal to the teeny-bopper buying public at the time and consequently this album sold rather poorly and slipped between the cracks which is a shame really as it is a solid effort throughout with classy production and strong self-penned songs to carry it along at a great pace.
On the back of the No.1 single Finch ventured to the USA only to be told to change their name so as not to conflict with the local outfit of the same identity … so Finch was shelved and the new tag of Contraband emerged.
A highly recommended 70’s rock LP that is worthy of more than casual consideration … in fact I reckon it’s a real gem with some outstanding guitar rock tracks.
MORE NOTES
AC/DC enthusiasts would no doubt be aware that Mark Evans was Bass player with Finch, Contraband and later Heaven following his work on the albums "High Voltage", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" and "Let There Be Rock". His first TV appearance with the band was on the Australian "Countdown" programme, in which they played "Baby Please Don't Go". He also appeared in several promotional videos, including the "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock'n'Roll)" and "Jailbreak" film clips. After the recording of "Let There Be Rock", Evans experienced personal differences with lead guitarist Angus Young and was sacked, being replaced by Cliff Williams. CEO for Epic Records Richard Griffiths, who used to work as a booking agent for AC/DC in the mid-1970s, has stated, "You knew Mark wasn't going to last, he was just too much of a nice guy."
