LP Elvis Regresa LPD-544, Cuba 1960 white label, RARE !
This one is quite rare and ranks among the most wanted worldwide Elvis LP´s. It´s the only Elvis release from Cuba and almost 50 years old now.
It´s the white label edition, but not necessarily a promo. RCA Cuba (if it IS an official RCA release) has also used black and maroon labels on this one. US catalogue number is LPM 2231 (Elvis is back) which comes up here tomorrow...
Record is in fine condition with nice shine and only a few surface scuffs here and there.
Sleeve has quite some wear on the front, but on the other hand, I havn´t seen a single perfect one in 20 years of collecting. The wear on the front occurs to be a general problem with this sleeve. Back is ok but has signs of removed tape at the top and bottom seam.
Sehr seltene Pressung aus Kuba, gehört weltweit zu den gesuchtesten Elvis-LP´s und ist mittlerweile beinahe 50 Jahre alt.
Diese Version mit dem weißen Label ist nicht zwangsläufig eine Promo-Ausgabe. RCA Kuba (falls es eine offizielle RCA-Veröffentlichung ist) hat ebenso schwarze und rote Label für diese LP verwendet. Die US-Katalognummer war LPM 2231 (stelle ich morgen ein).
Die LP ist in gutem Zustand mit oberflächlichen Gebrauchsspuren hier und da, glänzt immer noch sehr schön.
Das Cover zeigt vorn deutlichen Farbabrieb, aber ich habe in 20 Jahren intensiven Sammelns noch kein Exemplar gesehen, das dieses Problem nicht gehabt hätte. Der Farbabrieb scheint bei diesem Cover allgemein verbreitet zu sein. Rückseite ist ok, zeigt am oberen und unteren Rand leichte Rückstände von entferntem Tesa.
