Blues Creation came together with Carmen Maki - powerful female vocalist who is very assotiative with from Grace Slick to Jenis Joplin and till Nina Hagen. Album opens with hurricanish hard rock "Understand", but changes with folk ballad "And You", album continues with great blues works "Lord, I Can't Be Going No More" and "Empty Heart", where Carmen's voice sounds not bad than Janis', especialy "Empty Heart" is good. In "Motherless Child" powerful riffs alternate with blues roulades, performed sometimes acapella. Heavy blues "I Can't Live For Today", virtuoso performed blues "Mean Old Boogie" with great guitar and - genre classic - "St. James Infirmary" are complete the last part of album. (progmusic.ru)
