~~~~~~THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!~~~~~~~
THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPs ON THE MARMALADE LABEL - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!
BACK IN 1968 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!
AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS THE MEGA RARE MONO VERSION!
WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED BACK IN VERY LATE 1968, NEARLY EVERY 1ST PRESSING WAS MADE IN STEREO - WITH VIRTUALLY NONE IN MEGA RARE MONO AT ALL!!!!  MANY SHOPS DIDNT EVEN STOCK MONOS BY THIS POINT - AND IT WAS ONLY AVAILABLE BY SPECIAL ORDER!!
AS A RESULT, FINDING A 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP IN MEGA RARE MONO IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE MARMALADE LABEL AND 1ST PRESS FULLY LAMINATED MONO COVER!
THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Marmalade UK 1st Pressing from 1968 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is 607 003 and is the much MUCH rarer UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!!
Review
Without Jools, The Trinity was often written off by the pop press, but rockers knew better and this album, their first without her, provides a good start, leading up very nicely to their awesome follow- up “Befour”, which to be fair should be called “The Quartet”, since the brilliant guitarist Gary Boyle will join them permanently. With typical for the time artwork, “DW” is, as usual, a good dose of covers and original songs and this was a typical product of Giorgio Gomelsky (Yardbirds and many more) and one of the last of the Brit R'nB wave
The album is like most other Trinity albums, loaded with brass arrangements that Auger, Ambrose and Thacker were by now so used to. Overall I'd say that most of the covers would sound a bit like a made-for- supermarket music if it weren't for BA’s huge "Aurgan" and his tempestuous interventions.
Indeed covers of the Beatles'  “A Day In Life”, “If You Live” or JB's “Body” (the standard track) might sound a bit odd and even lame for an uncompromising proghead. But “Red Beans” is a dynamite rendition and Wes Montgomery's “Bumping On Sunset” is a fantastic (and will be reworked much later in Oblivion Express) version with excellent but discrete string arrangements.
Among the originals is a BA tribute for fellow organist Zoot Money (GB in the title), a slow-building brass-studded “Far Horizon” with a brilliant Hammond interlude, and the wild lengthy title track.
Starting on whistles, then an Ambrose bass solo segueing into flute (guest Swinfield) itself leading into a Thacker drum solo and finally an Auger Hammond solo. Maybe not as good as
its successor “Befour”, DW still has its share of good moments.
CONDITION:
 DISC
Looked at in very strong halogen light, it is clear that the disc has been handled and played quite a lot.
there are plenty of superficial marks on both playing sides
BUT,
close inspection suggests that there is no actual damage. None of the marks actually cuts into the vinyl playing surface and all the various marks are purely cosmetic, being fully visible only at certain angles.
This disc has been professionally cleaned and it is revealed to be in very good condition overall.
There are a couple of spindle marks on one side and none on the other.
Some fine, light hairlines visible in strong light.
Labels fine with no damage and no writing
SLEEVE
EXCELLENT CONDITION
Spine has a couple of imperfections which might be cat's claw marks.
All edges and open edges undamaged and in perfect condition.
Glazed finish has a slightly worn feel to it with the usual
hairlines which pick up the light in a circular pattern.
The disc and sleeve appear to have been treated with reasonable care
