Description
You are bidding on the VERY RARE UK FIRST PRESSING of the first totally classic BLACK SABBATH album. Gatefold inner has the black background with silver print. On the very first pressings of this, the small copyright text reads "WARNING - Copyright subsists in all Stereo recordings" making this the very first issue sleeve.
(This was a mistake and was quickly changed to "WARNING - Copyright subsists in all VERTIGO recordings" on later pressings. This was later altered again to "WARNING - Copyright subsists in ALL recordings").
The sleeve lists the band members in all upper case text and mis-spells Ozzie's name. (e.g. sleeve reads: "OSSIE OSBOURNE - VOCALS, HARMONICA" etc.)
Label has "A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT" under the Vertigo logo at the bottom, making this a genuine first pressing. Comes in Swirl inner bag.

DESCRIPTION :
Finding Sabbath albums in anything less than trashed condition is near impossible! This is an EX copy - vinyl has slight light surface scuffs only visable under light, NO scratches. Sleeve is a strong EX+. Swirl inner bag is GOOD due to tears on one side and a few creases, lightly discoloured. But it does have a slight crackle which is to be expected on a record that is 36 years old.
