A brilliant collection of mainly previously unreleased J.D. Miller recordings from the classic era in the late 1950s and early 1960s when he put out all of those superb discs on the EXCELLO label.
Not a bad track here and it's loaded with the beautiful swampy harp, guitar and piano sounds that we associate with Louisiana. Among the backing artists are harmonica player Lazy Lester, guitarist Guitar Gable and piano player Katie Webster.
The back sleeve contains lengthy and informative liner notes by Bruce Bastin.
