Up for bid:

A US 3rd state Beatles Yesterday and Today LP affectionately known as The Butcher Cover. Unfortunately, this arrived at the store in it's present condition, almost makes you wanna weep. As you can see in the pictures, this Butcher Cover was Butchered in the process of removing the original pasted on cover. The good news is, the vinyl is in pretty decent shape. Just for the sake of being complete in the description, the back of the cover has a small 2 on it, indicating it's pressing in Jacksonville, ILL. The cover has all three seams split, and the front is disconnected from the back, very little of the spine is left. The face has multiple "peel marks" for lack of a better description for it. According to goldmine, it would rate an (F) for Fair or (P) for Poor. But hey, it's an original Butcher Cover. Sad to say, the vinyl is the best part of this LP, has multiple light scratches, but nothing deep, mostly paper scuffs and rates a VG minus to VG.

So, there you have it. If nothing else, the winning bidder will be able to say they actually OWN a butcher cover, I know that despite it's gruesome appearance, I was still somewhat excited when we got it.
