Description

Up for auction is a jazz LP record by sax player Lou Donaldson, "Swing and Soul," Blue Note Records 1566, Mono, 1957. Label has the 47 West 63rd St. address and deep groove. It also has the RVG and "ear" stamps in the trailoff.

Lineup for this album is Lou Donaldson, alto sax; Herman Foster, piano; 'Peck' Morrison, bass; Dave Bailey, drums; Ray Barretto, conga.

Tracks are:

  • Dorothy
  • I Won't Cry Any More
  • Herman's Mambo
  • Peck Time
  • There Will Never Be Another You
  • Groove Junction
  • Grits and Gravy

The record is in very good condition. I see no scratches or surface lines, and only a couple of light scuffs. The labels are perfect. The album cover is also in very good condition, with no splits, no wear on the edges, and only light corner wear. The front has some age discoloration near the record opening and the back has some light soiling and record wear.

NOTE: Any white spots in the picture are from the flash on my camera. I look forward to spring when natural light will be abundant.

Please e-mail me with any questions. I take checks, money orders and Paypal. Winning U.S. bidders pay $4.00 media rate shipping, which includes delivery confirmation, insurance and cost of record mailer. Airmail letter post to Canada is $5.75; to Europe $11.50 and Japan $12.75. These rates also include cost of record mailer, but not insurance. NOTE to International customers: I realize that insurance for overseas shipments is very expensive through the United States Postal Service. However, I have used another insurer who has reasonable rates. If you really desire insurance on your item, please let me know after the auction and I can give you a quote and coverage details.
