This band was formed in Mallorca in 1966. Initially the group specialized in cover versions of well known British psychedelic hits by the likes of The Herd and Gun before experimenting with new sound alternatives under the influence of American progressive bands like Vanilla Fudge and Blood, Sweat & Tears .
In late 1967, the band signed with the famous label EMI. The first record was recorded in Barcelona in January 1968, an EP with the tracks Give a little sign, Mr. Bus Driver, All Talk ( Dave Clark Five ) and From the Underworld ( a version of the song by The Herd).
The group was well recognized by critics but did not sell as many records as other groups of their generation. The band did however reach its greatest success in the summer of 1968 with their version of the classic Moody Blues Nights in White Satin. Their next single, although not as successful as the previous one, was nonetheless a credible version of Tim Hardin’s Morning Dew and also featured on their debut album released in 1969 and which saw the band veer into the territory inhabited by the likes of Colosseum.
But if anything they will be best remembered for being the group that was chosen to be the opening act for The Jimi Hendrix Experience first gig on Spanish territory. Sadly the concert never took place. The band split in 1970, but have since been revered as one of the few exponents of Spanish progressive rock, with this album becoming highly sought after by collectors.
Released on the Spanish imprint EMI Regal, this copy is in unbelievable condition. The laminated sleeve is crisp and has very little sign of age on the front. The flipback reverse has a little discolouration after all these years but nothing major and the spine is strong and fully legible. As for the vinyl, this copy is in amazing MINT condition. This is a true collectors item and I would bet you’ll never see a better copy than this one – fantastic!!!
