Background -
A superb rarity! 3-LP box set of monophonic records made in the UK and issued in 1954. What makes this set special is the condition. Two of the LPs come in plastic sleeves, the last record in the paper sleeve (see our pics as they are of the actual items). The records appear virtually as new, with no serious marks on the surfaces. We can't say with certainty they have never been played, but we have to admit, we have never seen a cleaner set of 1950s records before. Even the box is virtually without flaw...just a slight weakening at one of the corners. If you've ever collected these ancient sets, we're sure you know all too well how crushed these boxes can get...99.9% of them anyway. The vinyl is super heavy and the liner notes are printed on the insides of the box. Don't miss your chance!-

CONDITION Details:
The LP BOX is in NM- overall condition. The jacket is tight and clean, with NO real seam splits, just a bit of weakening at one of the corners. Box has NO cut out marks and NO writing on it. The BOX exhibits just a bit of of light shelf wear along the seams, spine and corners, nothing serious. The corners are solid. The colors on the jacket are sharp, vibrant and clean - see our pictures with this listing as they are of the actual item.
The LPs are in VG+ to NM- overall condition! There are NO serious marks on the vinyl, just some dust and finger prints - yes, give it a good cleaning for best results. We can't say for certain, but the vinyl on 2 of the LPs appear unplayed....just gorgeous! Considering the vintage of this LP set, the vinyl looks better than superb. We've never seen a cleaner set of vinyl on such a vintage set before. However, these are not new audiophile LPs....some extraneous noise is inevitable and should be expected for vintage LPs. There are NO serious spindle marks on the record labels either.A Short Note About LP GRADING -
- Mint = Only used for sealed items.
- Near Mint = Virtually flawless in every way.
- Near Mint Minus = Item has some minor imperfections, some audible.
- Excellent = Item obviously played and enjoyed with some noise.
- Very Good Plus = Many more imperfections which are noticeable and obtrusive.
For best results, always thoroughly clean your LPs before playing them, even for brand new items.
LPs can be audiophile quality pressings (any collector of fine MFSL, half speeds, direct to discs, Japanese/UK pressings etc., can attest to the difference a quality pressing can make to an audio system).
