LISTEN TO A SAMPLE OF THE RARE 2nd ENGLISH VERSION OF "LOVE IS BLUE - COLOURS OF LOVE" by VICKY, ORCHESTRATED BY UK PRODUCER, JOHNNY ARTHEY BELOW

The item available here is an original EXCELLENT CONDITION UK PRESSING 7" VINYL SINGLE of the SECOND RECORDED ENGLISH VERSION of the 1967 Eurovision entry from VICKY (LEANDROS) and "COLOURS OF LOVE" (also known as "LOVE IS BLUE"), the song representing Luxembourg. This rare UK pressing featured a different recording of the English language version with an orchestration by the British producer JOHNNY ARTHEY. The European pressings of the English version were different to this one and had the same orchestration as the original French and other language versions! You can listen to a sample of the UK orchestration featured on the 7" on auction above! The other side features another track by Vicky, "WHO CAN TELL ("LES AMOUREUX" - sung in ENGLISH)". This 7" single was issued in the UK by the PHILIPS record label (BF 1565 - 346 049 PF). The vinyl is clean and shiny EXCELLENT condition with only minimal signs of previous use but the b-side label does have some minor spindle wear! The picture sleeve is a high quality professional looking glossy hard card reprint with images taken from a rare European pressing but redesigned here with English titles and the UK catalogue number added. This is not a typical basic photocopy sleeve, it is a unique professional looking one-off PHOTO QUALITY picture sleeve issued especially for this rare 7" I have on auction. Each side of the record labels and picture sleeve can be seen both above and below in the camera photos ! This is a good opportunity to add a highly collectable original UK 7" pressing featuring a rare alternative ENGLISH VERSION and with a top quality and unique picture sleeve to your record collection! Back in the eighties and nineties I was quite well known among many Eurovision collectors around the world as I always stocked a large selection of Eurovision records and CD's and during the nineties even arranged and financed the official release to press some of the more rare entries for wider availability to collectors. I provided a Discography and photos of all Eurovision releases in the UK for RECORD COLLECTOR magazine and provided recordings and worked to get clearance for tracks on an official UK Eurovision CD release issued by VIRGIN. Due to moving house my Eurovision vinyl has been in safe storage for almost a decade. I have recently acquired back the very last copies of my Eurovision vinyl stocks. In many cases I am down to my very last copy of each entry, especially those in mint condition and I now plan to sell everything over the upcoming months, so keep checking back each week for new additions to my listings.
