Les Cheyens 1965 - a super record for a collector
This group of Swiss Beat music native French Jura began his career in the Shadows instrumental genre before moving with the arrival of a singer to the style of the Rolling Stones.
In 1965 they recorded an EP on the label Ruba Beerli in Basel, one of the rarest kind pulled very few copies.
Side A starts with a personal component in French between Hector and Ronnie Bird "You do not deserve" followed by the instrumental "Whig Wham" also composed by Les Cheyens. On the flip side the instrumental cover of "Memphis" by Chuck Berry and the "Balla Balla". "Balla Balla" a dancing title text minimalist "my baby baby balla balla" was a huge hit in Germany and Switzerland in 1965 by the German group The Rainbows and also taken at the time by the legendary Sevens from Basel.
