Description
Lemme B. Good - Money Tree (a mid-tempo soulful, bluesy number that'll get people up and grooving) b/w Freedom To Love (a great mid to up-tempo dancer) 7" METAL ACETATE single on Mercury Pre-Production Copy label (no catalog #'). Just a note for those unfamiliar with metal acetates - these records are extra heavy from the center of the record being made of metal. These records are the first versions ever made from the master tapes (even before test pressings or promo copies and sound the best) for the purpose of feedback on the mix by those involved in the recording process. These discs were expensive to make, so very few, if no more than one are usually made and as you can imagine, these discs are quite RARE and sometimes the mixes can be different than the final release.
I don't know if either of these sides were ever released. Make sure you check my other auctions, because I have another Lemme B. Good double-sided 45 acetate up for auction this week, along with 2 other double sided 45 acetates by Parrish Broxton and a single sided Bobby Hebb acetate.
Each side of this acetate is so great and has a fantastic sound, you can tell that the band must be some of the best session players around as the songs are just so solid. This 45 comes in an Audiodiscs paper sleeve and has glued-on labels. The vinyl on this 45 is in very good plus - excellent condition, but with slight noise hear and there. PLEASE NOTE: THE HARD TIMES SIDE HAS A "CATCH" DURING THE LAST VERSE AND POSSIBLY CAN BE FIXED (I'VE BEEN TOLD) OR AT LEAST DIGITALLY EDITED WITH A COMPUTER FOR PLAYBACK. This is a really RARE & COOL Lemme B. Good Northern Soul/Acetate collectible, make sure you bid today!!!
Buyer pre-pays total of winning bid price and $4.00 S/H in the good ol' USA (insurance extra if buyer feels necessary). Total of winning bid and S/H in the US up to $50.00 can be paid by cash, personal check, money order, PayPal or with a Western Union money order issued through BidPay.com, but if the winning bid is $50.01 I require payment to be made ONLY by US Postal Money Order or PayPal. Payments from outside of the US are to be made in US cash, Western Union money order issued through BidPay.com or PayPal. Outside of the US the S/H cost will include USPS Airmail postage, $2.00 USD handling fee and $2.50 USD for an appropriate mailing box if necessary (LP's and larger items). I accept International Postal Money Orders from both Canada and Japan.
I appreciate payment to be made within 7 days (1 week) after the close of the auction, which allows us to complete this transaction and so you’ll have the item you won sent to you and in your hands fast. If payment is not received by the 10th day (1 1/2 weeks) after the end of the auction, I will file an Unpaid Item Dispute with eBay, which then will lead towards seeking a credit for the auction and ultimately the posting of negative feedback. I hope that it won't come to that, but keep in mind that everything will work out beautifully if your payment is made according to the guideline listed above. Thanx!
