Description

LED ZEPPELIN-II (1969, Atlantic)

Condition of Cover: EX-, some SW, some EW, tiny dot on back side of cover.

Condition of Record: Visual VG. Playtested in its ENTIRETY, NO skips. Side 2 played on average a weak VG+ for me, maybe an rare/errant background fleck here and there. Side 1 played mostly weak VG+, some of the quieter moments on the side have some background flecks of surface noise here and there, essentially making the side playback range from VG (on some quiet moments) to VG+. The mix is loud, so if the music is loud, odds are it's going to play solid based on our listen. This is how it played listening on headphones on a Gemini turntable using a Grado cartridge using the lightest weight on our tonearm. Loud bassy meaty thick mix, really enjoyed it!

Additional Information: Original. Gatefold. SD 8236. Matte finish cover. 1841 Broadway address on labels. Includes original Atlantic inner sleeve. RL (Robert Ludwig "hot mix") and SS on both sides in the deadwax.

ST-A-691671 CP/ST-A-691672 CP. Columbia Pittman.

For further info, please see my "About Me" page.

Grading Scale: My grading scale is as follows:

SEALED, M-, NM, NM-, EX+, EX, EX-, VG+, VG, VG-, G+. I do not sell anything lower than G+. My records are visually and play graded to check for accuracy. My VG+ should have little to no surface noise according to my turntable using a Grado cartridge, and my EX gradings are equivalent to Goldmine's VG++ grading, just more descriptive within the grading spectrum of VG++. My M- is open unplayed. My NM and NM- gradings are reserved for items opened once and played or essentially miniscule to no visible marks of any kind. Therefore, records that are often others' NM-, I will default to EX+ (this and high end VG++ records populate the EX+ grading).  I generally default to VG on covers if the cover has any noticeable ringwear, surface wear, or seam splits. Please see abbreviation list. If you have any questions, please email me! NO REISSUES UNLESS STATED AS SUCH!!
