Description

Hi there, and welcome to my auction.

As record fanatics, were always searching for that one rare gem, that classic, that timeless album. Well, I can tell by the fact that you've clicked on this item that you already have a great taste in music.

I am, reluctantly, after much thought, going to be passing on some of my collection (hopefully helping you out with YOUR record collecting adventure - but only if you promise to look after them!) – so, look no further!

I have been collecting for many years now, so I do understand what people want to see when getting hold of new albums. As a result, I have described the item and every worth-knowing detail the best I can. Please note, that I grade strictly. In a lot of occasions I will actually grade lower if necessary - so the only surprise you will get will be a pleasant one!

LED ZEPPELIN – ‘Led Zeppelin ’

Label: (Plum) Atlantic

This is copy hosts all the typical features of a genuine early pressing:    A//1 B//1 stamped matrix, earliest silver line bottomed cover (later removed) and of course the plum variation labels. If you want to find out more about the exact variation of this copy please use the photos that I have provided you as reference.

These are becoming impossibly rare to find, and will, no doubt, be snatched up will the recent resurgence of vinyl happening. Yes, you are looking at a very rare record here! A timeless piece you absolutely need for the collection and to show off to your friends!

These copies are known for their excellent audio output – far better than the later pressings.

Don't miss your opportunity to finally get hold of one!

PHOTOS

Please refer to these to see the product itself. I encourage you to inspect the item as good as you can.

CONDITION (done visually) *please note I grade STRICTLY. Therefore if I grade something as ‘VG’ for example, it does not mean that it is a destroyed, beaten up copy. Graded 'off' RRCG criteria.

Cover: G+ – cover shows some signs of ageing through some discolouration/staining. Spine still legible, slightly 'off'. Slight wear on the corners. There is a small tear at the opening. General signs of an old record. For what is a very delicate cover, this is not a bad example at all,  as it still remains presentable and useable.

Vinyl: Fair - visually it has many wispy hairlines, sleeve removal marks and some scuffing. Many are non-feel able and merely cosmetic, whilst some cause some background noise. I did play it briefly on one track, and I have to admit it did play much much better than it looks, with only minor surface noise. HOWEVER, I can't say for sure that this is the same for the whole of the record as I haven't played it entirely (so unsure of any defects it might have), although I would say it is likely that there will be surface noise, clicks here and there etc. The picture taken was in natural light (which doesn't hide anything!) I would love to see some of these so-called EX vinyl in natural light! Anyways, it is not a VG or EX piece of vinyl, so don't expect guaranteed sound output.

NOTE:

All records will be cleaned properly before sending, and cared for with a good antistatic brush. I will then place the vinyl in a new ‘spincare’ antistatic inner, attaching the original inner with it. These will go in a quality pvc sleeve along with the cover (separately to reduce any chance of splitting). Don't worry, I've got your back! I not charging you anything, just a little good will gesture!

With regards to returns, if in the rare occasion you find yourself unhappy with the item, returns will be accepted (within 14 days) provided the buyer pays return postage. Leaving feedback soon is very helpful as it helps me know that your happy with the item. I hope everyone walks away happy at the end of the day. BID WITH CONFIDENCE!!!

I will always charge less for postage than what it costs me i.e. I don’t charge for packaging, tape, stiffeners or anything like that. Items will be sent first class. If it costs less, I will always refund the buyer the difference. PLEASE NOTE EUROPEAN UNION BUYERS: I am going to try selling to countries in the European Union. I will not be responsible for any import costs or any additional charges you may face receiving the item in your country. You accept all of these costs, so please research any potential costs before bidding. In addition, all items must be signed for.

Any questions? Feel free to ask.

Thank you for looking.

Grading system:

MINT: the record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.

EXCELLENT: the record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: the record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: the record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: the record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn , stained and/or defaced.

POOR: the record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: the record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
