Please read the Terms and Conditions lower in the listing about payment, postage costs and insurance BEFORE placing a bid. Thank you.

I am happy to answer any questions, but please read the listing carefully before sending a question or placing a bid. I try to provide comprehensive details and information in every listing so the answers to most questions should be found below.

This is a 1st pressing of Led Zeppelin's debut LP. It has the original turquoise lettering on the sleeve, Superhype publishing credits on the labels and the earliest uncorrected matrixes 588171 A//1 and 588171 B//1. The vinyl, labels and sleeve are all in really nice condition.  I have taken lots of pictures and give a full description so you know exactly what you're bidding on.  This is a really lovely example of this classic, iconic debut.

Detailed description
Vinyl: The vinyl is nice and flat and has retained its original high sheen. I have played the entire record and it plays perfectly with absolutely no jumps, sticks or skips anywhere at all. There are various light marks and lines visible, mainly on side one, but nothing which affects the playback. There is the occasional random soft click here and there, and a brief hiss in the left channel near the beginning of You Shook Me, but there are no repetitive clicks anywhere on the record. There is just some background noise and soft crackle which can be heard in the quiet parts and the run-ins/outs, silent grooves and fades/intros. The first press vinyl delivers a big, powerful sound with no signs of distortion or deterioration. There is very little to detract from the music and the louder tracks sound awesome. This is a really nice copy which can be played and enjoyed all the way through.
Labels: See photos. Both labels look great with no damage, writing, stickers etc and just typical signs of use and spindle marking.
Sleeve: The fully laminated sleeve is nice and clean with no damage, writing, splits, tears or stickers etc and just light signs of use. There are a handful of oxbow laminate creases near the opening and a few other laminate creases near the corners and around the spine, but nothing significant or unsightly. The sleeve is nice and flat with just very slight signs of shaping around the disk and slight laminate lift either side of the spine. There are just a few small laminate creases/cracks along the spine but, other than a small area at the top rear spine corner (which I have showed close-up in the photos) the laminate is clean, sound and fully intact with no tears or scratches.  This really is a nice example of this rare sleeve.
Edge wear: There is virtually no wear to the edges, just a few small horizontal laminate creases/cracks along the spine and slight feathering to the opening at the rear. There is no feathering to the front. The spine is clear and the text is 100% legible.
Corner wear: moderate.
Inner sleeve: Assumed to be original. Plain, poly-lined inner sleeve with "Plastic bags can be dangerous" etc printed on it.

Detracting features not covered above - none.

I have 100% positive feedback because my records are always described accurately and fairly. All photographs are of the actual item you will get. I will always do my best to point out any blemishes which might detract from the item.

Please check out my other items and take advantage of reduced postage costs for multiple buys.

Unless stated otherwise, vinyl is visually graded. I play grade records where possible but there just aren't enough hours in the day to play them all, so I usually restrict play grades to collectors' items and rare records which are particularly hard to find in top audio condition or other records where a visual inspection has identified flaws on the playing surface. A visual grading will identify physical flaws (such as scratches) and will determine whether a record has been cared-for properly, but it will not detect static or crackle caused by dust in the grooves or other invisible sources. A visual grading will provide an indication of how a record might play, but it is not a guarantee of the record's sound quality, even if it looks perfect.

First pressings and originals: Many of the records I sell are first pressings and, if this is the case, I will usually identify them as such and may include the relevant matrix information etc in the description. However, sometimes I cannot be certain whether a record is a first pressing or not. In these instances I will often use the word 'original' to identify a pressing which I think might be a first pressing, but do not know for sure (but which is certainly NOT a recent pressing or audiophile release etc). If you specifically want a first pressing, and know how to identify it, please ask the relevant questions before you bid.

Feel free to ask any questions about the item (but please don’t leave it to the last minute as I may not get a chance to reply).

POSTAGE & PACKING

I care about the records I sell and believe that they need to be carefully and securely packaged to ensure that they survive their journey through the post. Vinyl is removed from the sleeve for posting and the contents will be protected with rigid cardboard stiffeners. All packages are labelled "Do not bend" and securely sealed with "FRAGILE" parcel tape.

I support the use of recycled materials and so some or all of the packaging you receive your records in may have been previously used or be made from old cardboard boxes. If you wish your item to be sent in entirely new packaging please let me know before paying for it. Thanks.
