LED ZEPPELIN The Song Remains The Same (Classic Records SS2-201) RARE Audiophile Pressing SEALED
RARE first US audiophile pressing of Led Zeppelin`s "The Song Remains The Same" on Swan Song (October 1976), re-released on Classic Records (2005). 
- 200 grams audiophile first edition, with lacquer cut and analogue mastering by Bernie Grundman. 
- "Quiex SV-P Super Vinyl Profile" displays many properties typical of 1950s "deep groove" vinyl.
"Led Zeppelin’s film, The Song Remains the Same, spliced documentary footage and live performance with absurd fantasy and dream sequences — Plant rescuing a fair maiden from a tower, Page dressed up as a wizard and so on. Partly disowned by the band, the subsequent soundtrack album was never remastered by Page in the ’90s. The live tracks are sporadically brilliant — not least on the opening salvo of “Rock and Roll” and “Celebration Day” — but there’s still a 27-minute version of “Dazed and Confused” lurking just around the corner. Nowadays, you’d need the patience of a saint — or an industrial vat of mind-altering substances — to go the distance." - Carlo Twist for Blender Magazine, c. 2005.
