Gatefold Australian original first pressing on the green and silver Atlantic labels but the spelling of the band’s name on both sides of the labels is incorrect ie “Led Zepellin” instead of “Led Zeppelin”. Also the print of the band’s name is a slightly different font to the one on the regular issue of this LP (see scan) In all other ways it resembles the standard issue of this album. It has a laminated cover. The inside is the luminous lime green tinted group photo. It has blue print on the spine and the front. It has identical stampers etc etc.
The standard issue of this LP was only available for a few months between late 1969 and early 1970. You would assume this mistake happened very early in the run and was rectified. This is one that slipped through. I guess that dates it at the very beginning ie late 1969.
By any yardstick-it’s in superb condition. Difficult to find one that’s better- even if this was the more common standard issue.
This isn’t something small but a full on important error. It would be a must have for any serious Led Zep collector .

MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: Slight signs of having been played, no lessening of sound quality. Cover, label, extras are good. VERY GOOD: Played quite a few times, no real deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras slight amount of wear and tear. GOOD: Showing some wear and tear. Reasonable, playable sound. No major defects in record, cover, label, extras. FAIR: Sound quality deteriorated. Cover, label, extras display folding, scuffing, marks
