Original 1969 SD8236 Atlantic Records 1st US Pressing Of 'Led Zeppelin II'. This is the rare, famed 2 sided Robert Ludwig 'Hot Mix' mastered LP. Record is clean but does show some very light surface marks/scuffing that creates some light crackle on playback.No deep or feelable marks are present. Record plays as bold and punchy as you would expect this pressing to with a small amount of audible crackle mostly heard in the quieter sections of the LP (i.e. run outs,lead-in's,etc..) Inevitable really..Otherwise, it sounds gigantic when turned up loud on a quality system.One of the best sounding rock LP's ever made.Would certainly benefit from a professional vacuum cleaning. Overall,this is a solid copy (in spite of the light hairline type marks described) and an absolute must have LP for any Zeppelin fan.'RL' initials are etched in side 1 & 'RL/SS' etchings on side 2. PR Presswell pressing. Cover is clean with some light edgewear ,a split starting bottom center and another in the center of inner gatefold (see pics). Original Atlantic factory inner sleeve is included.Housed upright in 2 protective outer sleeves and an anti-static mfsl inner sleeve.The Holy Grail of Led Zeppelin II LP's.
