Description

Please read all of the details below and see the photos before bidding.
This is a G+ record in a G+ sleeve.
I've given an honest description below as there's NO RETURNS on this LP
Grading: I've used the Record Collector grading system. Please see the last photo for the details
Record:
Grading: Good +
US Presswell New Jersey pressing. Has "RL" etched into the runouts on both sides. I've tried to capture this in the pics. On side two the etching is "RL  SS" The "SS" standing for Sterling Sound in New York.
The playing surfaces have many hairlines and scuffs.  There is a feelable scratch on A1 "Whole Lotta Love" - please see photo 7.
There is a brief moment where the vocals drop out on "Thank You"
I've play tested this on my high quality system and the "punch" from the "hot mix" is amazing.
For the most part any pops/crackles are drowned out by the sound. The drums and bass are turned up in the mix and really come to the fore. It's only on the quieter passages that the imperfections are more noticeable.
Overall, I can see why this is a special mix
Sleeve:
Grading: Good +
No splits or repairs. Edge wear, staining and some damage on the back - please see the photos
Inner Sleeve:
Grading: Very Good +
Original Atlantic inner sleeve advertising the current releases. Has a small split along the bottom seam. Record will be sent in a new white inner sleeve.
Will be shipped in a cardboard LP mailer. I've left the buyer to choose the postal service; either Royal Mail or Evri. No returns No reserve
I came across this in a record shop in North Carolina last year. I figured that this would be a good entry level copy to see if all that I'd heard about the Ludwig "Hot Mix" was justified.
In my opinion it's a fabulous listen. I've done a back to back with my early UK plum pressing, and there is a difference in the Ludwig.
On this years record hunting trip to the US a friend of mine sold me his late father's one owner copy, so a "final upgrade" for me, and this one needs to move on to it's next owner.
