Description
Led Zeppelin ll Hot Mix or… Some people refer to them as a Hot Press Robert Ludwig Mastered it at Monarch studios.
This is a very personal album to me… I have a History with this album… it played a major role in influencing me as a kid to play guitar and write music and it’s a very cherished album in my musical life. I would love it to go to another musician not a person who will resell it again. I Bought this new in early 1970 it’s without a doubt the most cherished album in my entire collection which includes 1000’s of Classic Albums.
I can tell you honestly this is an amazing sounding album it’s been my go to album when I need a loud take no prisoners true blast of genuine Rock.
There is nothing as cool or exciting as putting this albums opening track on at full blast. When “Whole Lotta Love” starts and the drums come in it’s almost a religious experience. The sound of this Hot Mix blasted out on a truly great stereo, will blow your mind!
The sound on this pressing is unbelievable I’ve heard other Hot Mixes and I honestly don’t believe they are created equal.
The bass, the drums, the separation is the best I’ve ever heard on any vinyl including MFSL’s it sounds amazing I have only played this incredible album on the best of turntables with a highest quality lightweight tonearms over the past 50 years or so the turntables come and go but these “Songs Remain the Same” Dynamic as all hell.
You might have guessed I’m a professional musician and I’m only selling this amazing LP out of pure necessity.
FYI… I’m working with one of Led Zeppelin’s Producers and Recording engineers right now in a London studio.
Stuart Epps who produced the CODA album for LZ has been producing my music for the past few years, he would kill me if he knew I was selling this album since he wanted to purchase my copy a few years ago and I told him I will never sell it… my relationship with him is such I would have to give it to him free… it’s a long story but I really need the money.
Unfortunately due to the pandemic I haven’t played a gig in almost 3 years and I’m having to sell it because honestly I really really need the money…
Who ever purchases this from me… you will be helping me out in a big way. The pandemic has really taken a toll on artists like myself that depend on live gigs for survival.
I guarantee you this copy of Led Zeppelin ll is really clean and it’s been well taken care of. The cover is very good for an album that’s 52 years old it has no seam splits the cover edge is good and readable its not perfect but it’s not at all bad either it has some expected age wear and some mild ring wear but overall I’d say it’s in Very Very Good Condition for it’s age.
The inner sleeve is the original and it’s in great condition with only a very small split on one side maybe about an inch in size I will mail the record out of its sleeve and inner sleeve to avoid damage during delivery.
Honestly this purchase is not about the cover it’s about the record (the Vinyl) and it’s incredible sound “Don’t buy a Hot Mix for the cover remember it’s the vinyl that’s the important thing here”.
Money back guaranteed to blow you away or return it for a full refund including shipping. I promise you, you will be pleased with this Hot Mix copy of Led Zeppelin ll there is no other medium that you can access that will play this music as good as it plays on this Hot Mix Vinyl LP Version of Led Zep ll.
The vinyl is in Excellent Condition… There are no scratches or visible wear no scuffs or heavy lines… The Vinyl has a beautiful black sheen just like it did when it was new.
All Records have some minor surface noise including this one however it’s minimal and it’s not going to knock you out of your Led Zep II induced state of excitement and ruin your enjoyment.
Interestingly there is far less surface noise than there is on a Brand New Copy of “Trick of the Tail” I just bought a 180 gram half speed master that’s got 10 times the surface noise of this 52 y.o. LZ2 album.
This is an extremely clean sounding record it’s definitely the one you would choose if you could hear all these copies for sale here on ebay side by side, if your looking for a great collector’s edition… you can always pick up a mint condition cover from someone who’s selling a cover only or that’s selling a badly scratched album that has a great cover for a reasonable price.
I’m opening the bidding at $500 if I don’t get that then what’s the point in selling it, if it’s not going to help my financial situation why sell it? This half century old Hot Press is worth every dime and that’s the lowest price I will except or I’d just rather keep the album… This copy of the album means that much to me!
Sorry for the long winded description of my album However I think if your going to spend $500 or more for a rare classic LP like LZ2 you should know something about who and why and from where it comes… 52 years is a lifetime and you should have some idea of what it’s meant to me the only owner of this particular copy and why I’m selling it… Nobody in his right mind who owned this Lp for this long should be selling it without explaining why he’s selling it as I stated in the first line I have a personal relationship with this incredible record I didn’t buy it at a garage sale or inherit it.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my listing and Good luck bidding I hope it goes to a true fan of Led Zeppelin… Someone who really appreciates their music and the history this particular edition has behind it.
It comes from a smoke free home.

Whoever wins the auction will receive the record within days very quickly! I will mail it out right away from Crestline Calif. Thank you for all your inquiries and the Best of Luck Bidding.
