Description

LED ZEPPELIN II - RED PLUM UK  PRESS     A6/B4 - MATRIX   Year: 1969   Cat: 588198

  • On offer here is a stunning sounding copy of this seminal album and is an original Atlantic red/plum press.
  • The  gatefold cardboard sleeve is very prone to wear but this one shows very few signs of it as the pictures show. The front is perfectly flat and uncreased with only very slight storage fading at the bottom. There is just a touch of ringwear to the top of the rear gatefold, otherwise it is in great condition. The rigid spine is fully intact and legible. Inside the gatefold is immaculate apart from one small blemish towards the bottom left. The sleeve opening has no feathering.  Very difficult to find in this condition. Graded EX
  • This copy has a diecut Patents inner rather than the polylined one, but I have no doubt it is the original one. Graded EX-.
  • The vinyl has a great gloss and that "just pressed look" Even when viewed under strong light I could find NO marks. The intense colour labels are pristine with a few very small spindle trails. Visually graded Near Mint  When played I was blown away by the superb sound quality which matched the visual grading with stunning depth and separation. The quality of  this vinyl will bear many more future plays if required. There is no noise between tracks or in quiet passages. Do not miss this one!  Overall Playgraded Near Mint.
  • The many photos should show enough detail but please contact me if any more information is needed.

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

+ or - indicates a grading in between categories
