The album "In Through the Out Door" was released in 1979 in 6 completely different - yet similiar sleeves.The vinyl and inner sleeves were identical from copy to copy.However, the 6 sleeves were labelled on the spine A to F (that is :- A, B, C, D, E, F,). Each sleeve showed a bar-room scene (front and back) from the perspective of each of the room occupants and as such they were all similiar - yet different.It is reputed that some of the sleeves were/are almost impossible or at least very hard to find.My own experience over 20 years in attempting to complete full sets bears this out to be probably true.This is the full and complete set of sleeves A to F and they are NEAR MINT and about as good as you will find anywhere.One of them - the 'E' sleeve - has a tiny one centimetre mark on the upper spine.And that's it - the rest are perfect. Please note that I do not grade anything as MINT unless it is sealed, unplayed and as it was on the day it left the factory.

All of the vinyl records are STRICTLY GRADED as EXCELLENT PLUS or NEAR MINT. I have listened to all 6 (it's a hard life) and can grade them accurately.On record 'E' there is some light crackle discernible between the tracks.On record 'F' there is some light crackle discernible on tracks 1 and 7.The other 4 play superbly well. Each disc has the name 'Strawberry' machine-stamped in the runout groove, indicating an original pressing.This refers to Strawberry Studios where the album was recorded.

The inner sleeves for all these albums are made using a special ink that reacts with water to produce a magic colouring effect. ALL the inners for the set of 6 are NEAR MINT. They have NOT been coloured in.The inners were (and still are !) so sensitive to moisture that picking them up with sweaty fingers could cause colour to appear on the inner sleeve.I can even testify to seeing one turn very pretty after an uncovered sneeze - not me I hasten to add.( Seriously ! I am not joking - they are THAT sensitive to moisture so be warned.) These six inners are spotless and pristine.

So - besides the 6 vinyl copies,the six sneeze-free inners, the six different lettered sleeves -what else is there? NEAR MINT outer brown paper bags that's what ! Each record was released concealed in a Swansong printed thick brown paper outer bag.These bags are clearly subject to the most wear and tear and many have not survived.In fact I know that some were even discarded in the early years !! It is hard to come across the album with its inner and outer sleeve in great condition today, but even harder to find good or excellent outer bags.They come torn, split, creased and if you are lucky just worn. To find bags like the ones here is nigh on impossible.They are firm, crisp, unworn and almost like new. THEY ARE THE BEST THAT I OWN AND THE BEST THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. As you will have gathered I believe in giving you full and accurate descriptions so I do have to tell you that one bag has a flaw - it has two tiny tears at the serrated opening measuring 4mm and 3mm (millimetres NOT centimetres). You would not have even noticed them if I had not mentioned it.The other five bags are as good as MINT but I have to grade them as NEAR MINT.I do not believe that you will find better anywhere.

I will include in this sale a FURTHER COPY FREE OF CHARGE as a playing copy and with an inner sleeve that you can play watersports with.It already has a red smear and a green smudge from previous abuse.You can sneeze on it to your heart's content or regress to your childhood and paint it or even get your kids to discover magic painting. It's an 'A' sleeve and all the bits grade as EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT.

I will pack these really well. Records will be in plain inners NOT the Zep. inners and with stiffeners and bubble wrap in a box.Postage costs will be as for one LP and 5 extra ones to wherever you are.The extra copy is on me. I have not included scans of all six sleeves. If you are a Led Zeppelin fan then you already know what they look like. I thought it better to show all Led Zep 'learners' what all the bits look like.

To conclude - this is a unique opportunity to own a full collector's set in a condition you could only dream about.In true twitcher tradition this is a NO RESERVE auction so it WILL go to the highest bidder.
