This is a rare opportunity to bid for an original 1st press copy of this classic Led Zeppelin album in truly amazing condition. It is from my own collection and has only been played about 3 or 4 times. This early press copy has the Lemon Song credit on the label and sleeve,on later copies this became the Killing Floor. Also these very early pressings had made in great britain, copyright control and under licence [above white stripe] printed on the label. This one also has the 1st press matrix numbers A2 / B5. The sleeve on this copy is in really great condition. There are no rips, tears or scuffs at all.The spine has no damage whatsoever and is straight and crease free. There is some very slight ring wear on the top rear of the which is hardly noticeable. Also at the top of the rear of the cover are two slight creases, this was a manufacturing fault and was there when new. These early lighter coloured sleeves were notoriously fragile and to find one as good as this is extremely rare.I was tempted to grade the sleeve near mint but to play safe have decided to grade it exc++.Now on to the important bit,the vinyl. This is in amazing condition,no marks or blemishes at all not even any spindle marks on the label, in fact the pressing still looks new.Labels are in keeping with the pressing and as new. These early pressings were heavier than later ones and because they are the first run off the master lacquer will have superior sound quality. All my records have only been played on very high end equipment. My current Linn Naim system set me back around £18,000,the deck alone in its current state of tune would set you back £7,000.I have just played this album for the first time in around 20 years before listing it.I was totally amazed at how good this pressing is,surface noise is virtually none existent, just a little on the run in groove as is the case with nearly all pressings.Sound quality is exceptional,i have always rated the second album as easily the best sounding of the first 4 albums.Listening to it makes you wonder why digital recordings wre ever invented. There is a full bodied sound accross the entire audio spectrum. No distortion just an extremely pleasant listening experience. You simply have not heard this album at its best untill you listen to these early examples.I will grade the vinyl as mint, brave i know but i can't find fault with it.If you want a first class pressing of this album then look no further.I will not bore you with all that discography stuff etc,if you are a keen Zeppelin fan you will already know it.Anyway i hate coputers and the less time i spend sitting in front of one the better. As always if you find you are not happy with my description i will give a full refund. This album will be shipped with the vinyl and sleeve in seperate box mailers fastened together to make a postie proof package. Before this week is out i hope to have the 4 plum label Zeppelin albums listed and possibly others so keep looking.
