*Note: This is the rare 1st edition (gatefold) on the SongGram label. This LP was re-issued the same year on the more common (non-gatefold) TransCanada label.

LE MATCH was born in 1974 from the ashes of LA NOUVELLE FRONTIÈRE, the 7-piece folk psych band by Quebec twins Marie-Claire and Richard Séguin. Following Nouvelle Frontiere's two coveted LP's, the band split up into two camps.....the twins carrying on as the duo Les Seguin, and Normand Théroux forming the heavier and more progressive Le Match with the remaining members.

With Francois Leduc (violin, flutes), Pierre-Yves Migneron (electric guitar), Gaston Rousseau (bass), Normand Theroux(organ, piano), Richard Gregoire (piano, synthesiers, flute), Jacques Lauzon (drums, percussion).

"Légendes", their rare sole album (never re-issued on CD), is strongly influenced by traditional Québec folk, but it also stands out with lots of progressive keyboards, guitar, violin and flute.

Reminiscent of bands loke Horslips, Comus and Steeleye Span.
