Original 2004 edition of the first LP from Laura Naukkarinen aka Lau Nau, vocalist and instrumentalist with Finnish outfits Päivänsäde, Kiila and The Anaksimandros as well as a member of the all-female Hertta Lussu Ässä alongside Merja Kokkonen and Jonna Karanka. 180g vinyl with wraparound silkscreened sleeves. Long OOP.

Laura sings in her native tongue and the combination of gasps of liberated consonants, acoustic bass, bass recorder, five-stringed kantele, acoustic guitar, tenor recorder, violin, bamboo flute, colourful juice glasses, mortar, mandolin, witch laugh megaphone, baby’s rattle, bike bells, banjo, cowbells, electric guitar, organ, willow whistle, tablas, percussion, cymbals, comb and beer cans adds up to the kind of benign sabat you’d take yr sister to, with delicate psychedelic song-forms birthed from decades of walking barefoot on the earth. Also features members of Rauhan Orkesteri and Päivänsäde Pekko Käppi on jouhikko, Tomas Regan on acoustic bass and banjo and Antti Tolvi on flutes, kantele, chimes and mandolin.
