Description
The Last Adam:same (private/1980)
Private label release from Florida that covers a wide range of musical styles. You'll find psychy hard rock and progressive AOR, led by heavy guitar and some spacy synthesizer. There are also a flute and French Horn, but these fit in just as well in the hard rock tracks as in the softer loungey songs. The band is led by a powerful female vocalist, with an occasional harmony that also flows into the lounge direction.
The back cover and label both have "The Salvation Army" printed on them, but there is nothing to state what the connection is.
This record gets a highly favorable write-up in Archivist, Ken Scott's superb Jesus Rock tome.
The cover is in VG - condition (corners dented; heavy wear on seams & spine; upper seam almost entirely split open; bottom seam has a 3" split; heavy ringwear on front cover' light ringwear on back; number written in marker on back). The record looks and plays VG+ (moderate amount of scuffing - not a great pressing to begin with; plays with intermittent crackle, first track has a few low pops midway).
