Artist: LARRY YOUNG TRIO
Title: “Testifying”
Label: NEW JAZZ. Label is purple with silver text. Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl, with deep groove. “RVG” is stamped in the dead wax. Catalog number is NJLP 8249.
Year: 1960
Personnel: Larry Young, Jr. – organ; Thornel Schwartz – guitar; Jimmie Smith – drums; Joe Holiday – tenor sax.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl retains 100% of original gloss, has been played a small number of times and handled with care. Grades nice VG++ with a couple small light marks, otherwise would grade Excellent to Near Mint. There are a few audible tics at the beginning of Side A, after which the remainder of the LP plays beautifully. Fidelity is excellent. Labels are clean. A very fine playing copy of this scarce LP.
JACKET: Laminated jacket is nice VG++. Front artwork is clean and bright. There is a very tiny chip at bottom seam, otherwise seams and spine are flawless. Nice corners. Name and address of the original owner are stamped on the reverse at the top right corner, and there is a factory stamp “RW” on the same side. Overall a very nice jacket to accompany the gorgeous disc.
