Boasting evocative titles including "Airless Moon" and "Gravitational Whirlpool,"Charles Albertine's challenging and abstract compositions are tone poems that articulate the dark, foreboding void of life beyond Earth -- spearheaded by Elgart's alto saxophone, the arrangements are serious yet spirited, coloring Albertine's ideas with moments of otherworldly beauty rooted in the avant-garde.
