Description
ARTIST / TITLE : THE LAFAYETTE AFRO ROCK BAND "MALIK"
LABEL : AMERICA (#30AM6137)
CONDITION (Record/Cover) : VG/VG+
COMMENT : At first, vinyl plays better than the grade, it presents marks but fortunately nothing too deep, and so sounds really nice with a clear & loud sound, as you can judge by yourself in the Hi bitrate audio clip below. Then, this is the real French original first pressing from the early 70's, better and much rarer than the US & other releases which were issued a few years later. This is very rarely found, even in France, and much harder to get than their first lp "Soul Makossa". At last, it's of course a top funk jazz with afro influences album, among the best in this genre, that contains tons of killa funky breaks too, including one of the heaviest ever recorded, in the name of "Darkest light" !!
