Kenny Drew on Blue Note 4059
This is the original* RVG-stamped “P”-pressing of Kenny Drew “Undercurrent” on the West 63rd labels of Blue Note BLP 4059. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once. Similarly, the laminated West 61st cover is immaculate – amazingly clean and bright throughout – virtually factory fresh. *Although many collectors consider copies with a deep groove on Side 2 to be “original”, a copy has been seen with the earliest Blue Note “Not for Sale” stamp on the cover and labels. There is a legitimate suggestion that the deep groove appeared only on a second pressing.
