This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Kenny Dorham “Afro-Cuban” on the Lexington Avenue labels f Blue Note BLP 1535. The flat rim playing surface has an audible scratch at the beginning of Side 2 and three inaudible scuffs on Side 2; otherwise, the records shows a very high luster; perhaps played just once or twice. The frame Lexington Avenue cover shows light shelf wear on the front, a sun-bleached spine, and areas of professional restoration along the bottom seam and at the top and bottom of the back slick.
Personnel include Hank Mobley, Cecil Payne, Horace Silver, Percy Heath, and Art Blakey.
