Kenny Dorham     The Arrival Of      JARO JAM 5007  mono Original issue  

 

Kenny Dorham (t), Charles Davis (bar s), Tommy Flanagan (p), Butch Warren (b), Buddy Enlow (d)    Recorded 1960 

Deep groove label on both sides.  Cover is laminated.   and has "Promotional Copy" sticker on front. JARO International sleeve included.

Record looks VG+/VG++  and plays mostly better than VG++. "Lazy Afternoon" has 5 ticks and plays VG+. Record plays nicely and enjoyably.  Music is strong. Light scuff all way across Side 1 which does not affect play.  Side 2 looks better with few very small light scuffs. 

Cover is VG+

  Front of cover looks good. It's bright and glossy with light wear and hint of ring wear.  There's some denting at top near the corners.  Bottom seam split and untaped 1/2 inch at the pocket. Top seam split and dented 1/8 inch at the pocket.  Another tight split, untaped 1 and 1/8 inch in middle of seam. Small spots of wear at the corners.  Back cover has light to moderate wear and 2 small tears in the slick at the bottom.

 My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
