1956, Blue Note BLP 1523, RVG hand etched, P/ear, deep grooves, Lexington labels, flat edge, frame jacket
Record: Still retains a nice gloss. Very faint sleeve scuffs and minor hairlines seen under light. A few lighter marks that had little impact on play. One longer mark on side 2. Some random ticks here and there. There is a background surface noise that is prevalent throughout. The music pretty much drowns it out.
When first purchased years ago, the surface was covered in dirt and grime. I cleaned as best I could with a simple cleaning station. This record will need a professional deep clean as I believe there is still a lot of dirt in the grooves that is causing the background noise.
Jacket: Edge and overall handling wear. Bottom right of the jacket looks as if it were bumped and caused a big crease. Foxing and dirt on the back.
