All records have been played before listing on my Thorens TD 160 with an Ortofon Turbo element in order to give you proper information. First of two singles by 'Cats Pyjamas', and it's the flipside that matters most:Soulful vocalist Kenny Bernard who made his mark with Joey Levine's and Arthur Resnicks composition "Ain't No Soul" (Left In These Old Shoes) teaming up with Pete Gage (guitarplayer and co-founder of Geno Washington's Ram Jam Band) in their own Northern Soultype, mod and freaky number 'Virginia Water' with heavy bass and organ riffs. Much more interesting than the official 'A'-side of this DEMO on Direction 3235 from 26 january 1968: a slightly slower version of Spectors original composition 'Baby I Love You' by the Ronettes.Quality of both sides:M-.
