Pleasure to Kill is the second studio album by German thrash metal band Kreator, released in November 1986 by Noise Records.

The lyrical themes follow those found on their first album Endless Pain. Many death metal bands cite this album as an influence.

Pleasure to Kill is widely considered a thrash classic.

It is also considered a landmark album in the history of thrash metal along with Master of Puppets by Metallica, Peace Sells... but Who's Buying? by Megadeth, Reign in Blood by Slayer, Eternal Devastation by Destruction and Darkness Descends by Dark Angel, all released in 1986.

Pleasure to Kill was well received by the public. On Rate Your Music the album has an average rating of 3.85 of 5, based on more than 2,600 ratings, and on Sputnikmusic the album has an "excellent" average rating of 4.2 of 5, based on more than 700 ratings.

Kreator is a German thrash metal band from Essen, formed in 1982. Their style of music is similar to that of their compatriots Destruction, Sodom and Tankard, albeit usually more complex and, since 2001's Violent Revolution, more melodic.

Along with those three bands, Kreator has been referred to as one of the "Big 4" of Teutonic thrash metal, and they are often credited with helping pioneer death metal and black metal by containing several elements of what was to become those genres. The band has achieved worldwide sales of over two million units for combined sales of all their albums, making them one of the best-selling German thrash metal bands of all time.

Kreator's style has changed several times over the years, from a Venom-inspired speed metal sound, later moving into thrash metal, and including a period of transitioning from thrash to industrial metal and gothic metal throughout the 1990s. In the early 2000s, Kreator returned to their classic thrash sound, which has continued to the present.

To date, Kreator has released fourteen studio albums, two EPs, two live albums and three compilation albums.

They gained a large underground fanbase in the international thrash metal community, with their second album Pleasure to Kill (1986) regarded as an influential album of the genre.

Kreator was also one of the first German thrash metal bands to sign to a major label (Epic Records in 1988); however, they would not have success until later albums, including their thirteenth studio album Phantom Antichrist (2012) and its follow-up Gods of Violence (2017), both of which peaked at higher chart positions in many countries, with the latter reaching number one on the German charts.

The Vinyl
On initial visual inspection the vinyl looks absolutely superb, Just like it has just come from the shop in my opinion, and I can't see or feel any scratches or marks that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops at all! Any marks that could possibly be seen would be light whypsy surface scuffs and sleeve removal type only.. ,  This lays perfectly flat on the turntable and are free from any warping. (Note! I have double checked this) The vinyl looks superb, still retaining its original glossy sheen from new.  (no) deep needle scratches or marks that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops at all!

The Audio Quality
I have played the vinyl prior to listing on a top system at very loud volume! The audio is superbe cristal clear and very vibrant throughout! Top audio seperation on all frequencies only heard like this on early original 1st pressings! Note! This is the best sounding copy that I have heard,, so vibrant and clear, you will not find a better sounding album!  Importantly there were no loud constant clicks/ticks, pops or any jumps truly awesome and very rare for a 1st pressing. The audio is graded at Near as Mint in my opinion!

PLEASE NOTE! I always add this disclaimer! I have played this album prior to listing as usual and have given my honest opinion on the audio quality. Please remember this is a 31 years old original vinyl (not a reissue) Please allow for the odd interference/static/crackle/tick but importantly nothing consistant through out the audio! Please remember  that this would have been originally played on a system that is 31 years old!
All indications i.e. that this vinyl has (not) been overplayed and in fact looks barely ever played, I would even say looks totally unplayed in my personal opinion (No spider marks or traces!), at least no more than one or two times in my opinion and the audio quality superbe on all frequencies.

The labels
This features the "Noise" labels. These are superbe I can't see any spider marks at all on the labels, (even when angled to the light) and little if (no) spindle ware! This vinyl looks almost as unplayed in my personal opinion!

The Record Sleeve
This is the original printed pictured paper sleeve. No splits or tears. Superb for 31 years old like this!  The vinyl is now and has always been stored seperately from the sleeve. Note This is the original!

The cover

The original 1st issue un-laminated cover  cover is absolutely superbe!  Rarely seen in decent top condition like this one.  There are (no) edge splits or tears.   The spine is generally lovely and  square   A truly superbe example rarely seen like this.!  Super glossy  No rubbing or ring wear worth to mention. No real nasty or bad creases at all, Note: Light and minor crease lines at the edges and at the spine are only really noticed if looked for in my opinion. A slight crease noted at the rear , only noticed if looked for. Any other imperfections/scuffs/edge rubbing wear etc , are not noticed unless looked for in my opinion. This is strong and straight. Must be at least excellent plus  in my opinion rarely ever seen like this after 31 years!

Also complete with the original card insert!

An audio archive copy Never Need To Upgrade!
