Description

KPM 1097 - John Cameron - Jazzrock
KPM 1097

Original U.K. pressing from 1972

Vinyl: NM
Cover: vg+

John Cameron recorded this shortly after his Afro Rock LP on KPM. Maybe on the same day? The instrumentation is the same. I bet that even the same musicians were involved. Totally nice breaks and beats on this record. Plenty of electric piano and bass loops. Nice percussion party and lots of Funky Jazz tunes with a soundtrack feel.
I've hardly seen this on eBay. It's just as rare as the Afro Rock LP and just as good. No cheesy parts or Pop tunes. Only Jazz Rock described as action packed with aggressive percussion, pounding dramatic, powerful uptempo, progressive and tension laid. One of the to 5 KPM libraries IMO.

Tracks:

49th Street Sahkedown
Brass Monkey
The Great Escape
Chicago Sidewalk
Four O'Clock Earthquake

Underlying Expentancy
The Prowler (much comped)
No Place To Go
Regular Progress
Smokey Joe's dilemma (organ & bass loops)
