Excellent copy of this rare record. I am not a pro-grader so look at the pictures and ask for more if you need them. Read description for more complete info. Shipping is $4.99 to US only. ( includes shipping and mailer)
This submission is for the 1977 RCA record club edition which features the 'blue tear' ink spot on front cover mis-print. It can be found near the Starchild's left eye. (see picture)
Misprint is exclusive to this specific pressing.
Manufactured by RCA Music Service Indianapolis Ind. under license
Features a 2nd cat # R 133990 on back cover.
Recorded on location by Record Plant, N.Y.C.
Mixed at Record Plant Recording Studios, N.Y.C. and L.A.

I e-mailed Michael Doret a few pictures of the album in 2010 to ask him if there was any story/significance behind it-his reply is below-I posted a portion of this before on the FAQ a few years ago, but couldn't find the link-so I just pasted it in:
"First of all I can tell you that what you have in that photo is an inferior printing of the cover because there should be an impression of silver ink in certain areas, and I can see that one of those areas that appears in your photo (Paul's eyelid) is printed in black halftone instead. So the first clue is that the printing was clearly done on the cheap.
DESCRIPTION:
First, this 42 year old Lp Comes with original sleeve! Sleeve is in very good but not mint condition. The side are open on the sleeve. Second, the vinyl is Excellent! There’s no visible issues at all. There are no scratches, bubbles,etc.... There is surface marks(40+ year old album)...The matrix contains the Record Club catalog number. Third, The labels on the vinyl are Nr Mint! No tears, pulls, writing, spindle marks,etc... The label also has the record club catalog info, so it is an alternate label...Fourth, the jacket is Very Good.There is no edge wear.There is no ring wear! There are dings on the spine and top. Please look at the pictures for the best idea of condition. If you need any more detailed pictures, please ask.All in all an very good copy of a very rare record .PLEASE!! LOOK AT ALL THE PICTURES
