This is an ultra-rare copy of a possibly one-of-a-kind KISS 45 record.

I have inquired about this record on some collector groups & have seen no others on the internet.

What is unique about this item is not that it plays the same track on both sides (a lot of promo's & radio station copies are like that), but this is not marked as a "promo". The oddest feature of this record is that the runout for the"Beth" side is equal to the shorter length required for the song. In other words, the record "looks" like it has 2 different tracks but in fact is the same song. Look at the runout grooves for both sides. Theres more space on the Beth side thereby denoting what would look like a shorter song. I'm not familiar enough with the record pressing process to describe how this could have happened, but it did. It's Detroit Rock City "the edited 45 version" on both sides. 

Could this be a one-of-a-kind item? It seems to me they would have had to have 2 different stampers of the track to be able to do this? A lot of questions wrapped up in this record so please bid accordingly.

The record unfortunately has been used over the years so condition is not on the higher end of grading. There is cueburn hissing on the first 6 or so seconds of the DRC label side & briefly on the Beth side. Otherwise it plays fine.

Record is graded on a 10 point system & is play graded.

10. Mint. Brand new, perfect.

  9. NM slight imperfections.

  8. VG++ or Excellent. Shows light signs of use.

  7  VG+ item is starting to show mild signs of play wear, may have slight background noise. still a nice copy

  6  strong VG, luster is showing some greying, surface marks more apparent.

  5  VG starting to have annoying background noise but still an enjoyable record, can have some problems.

  4 VG- Heavy wear but still playable.

  3 Good, beat up but still playable with major imperfections

  2 fair. skips  heavy wear. 

  1 Poor. still identifiable as a record but having no value.

Terms of Sale/Refund Policy

If an item arrives defective or 'not as advertised', the bidder/buyer must initiate contact within 5 days of having received the item. Returned item must be same item purchased and unopened if bought unopened. I will determine the best method for resolving the issue and return contact in a timely manner. Once a return has been authorized by us (Decadesrecords), the bidder/buyer has 10 days to return the item. In a Nutshell; if it is our fault, we'll fix it. We will pay for return shipping on 'not as advertised' products only.
