Description
KINKS VILLAGE GREEN PRESERVATION SOCIETY PYE MONO NPL 18233 on the embossed ringed blue label. This is the 15 track issue and is a real rarity that seldom comes up for sale. It is the first issue in the gatefold, flipback, laminated sleeve. The sleeve is completely intact and has no damage apart from a small slit on the top of the sleeve. The condition of the first side is near EX. The music plays perfectly with no defect even though there are some surface marks on the vinyl, visible only when held under a strong light. Side 2 does have some marks accross the first four tracks, but these look a lot worse than they sound. The remaining four tracks play as well as those on side one. The track that is worst affected is Phenomenal Cat because it is quiet. When the Kinks are in full flow on the other three, there are times when the clicks can't be heard. This is a heavyweight item and I expect quite some interest. I don't have a photo facility, but please email any questions. I am happy to post anywhere in the world, but please check cost first.
