On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by King Crimson called "Islands" and is an 1971 UK Pressing on the 'Pink Rim' Island 'Palm Tree' label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  IN FACT THIS IS ONE OF KING CRIMSONS RAREST LPs EVER!!!!  IT SOLD TERRIBLY ON RELEASE AND TODAY IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS 100% COMPLETE - WITH ITS FLIPBACK OUTER COVER (LATER ONES DONT), AND ULTRA RARE GATEFOLD 'LYRIC' INNER/INSERT!!!!

BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP SO VERY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS IN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  IN PARTICULAR THE RECORD IS IN AMAZING CONDITION (2 OR 3 PLAYS AT THE VERY MOST!) AND THE GATEFOLD INNER/INSERT IS IN ABSOLUTELY SUPERB CONDITION - AND FOR ONCE IS COMPLETELY UNSPLIT!!!!  IT WAS SO FRAGILE THAT MOST WERE EVEN SPLIT ON DELIVERY TO THE RECORD SHOP - AND ON MANY EXAMPLES OF THIS LP THE INSERT IS OFTEN COMPLETELY SPLIT FROM THE INNER SLEEVE - OFTEN LEADING PEOPLE TO BELIEVE THIS LP ACTUALLY HAD A SEPARATE INSERT!!!!  IN ACTUAL FACT, THE INSERT WAS JOINED TO THE INNER SLEEVE (LATER CHANGED) AND IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ONE - THAT IS UNSPLIT NOW!!!!  MOST IMPORTANTLY THIS INNER / INSERT HAS NO REPAIRS EITHER - IT IS SIMPLY IN AMAZING UNSPLIT CONDITION!!!!

THIS IS THE 1971 UK PRESSING ON THE 'PINK RIM' ISLAND 'PALM TREE' LABEL, A-1U/B-1U MATRIX ENDINGS (LATER ONES DONT!), 'ROBOR' GATEFOLD 'LYRIC' INSERT/INNER SLEEVE, AND 'THICK' FLIPBACK OUTER COVER (LATER ONES ARE NON-FLIPBACK INSTEAD!)!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the Island UK Pressing from 1971 and is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is ILPS 9175 on the 'Pink Rim' Island 'Palm Tree' label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in AWESOME condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, only 2 or 3 ULTRA light surface traces, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS AMAZING!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays almost as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY low level background sound in places (as is often found on this LP!)!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must visually grade MINT(Minus) - with the playing grade only slightly less!!!!  AWESOME RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its Gatefold Inner/Insert sleeve which is in absolutely SUPERB condition - and for once is completely UNSPLIT and has NO repairs either!!!!  The Gatefold inner has NO grubbyness, barely ANY  yellowing, NO rubbing, NO ringwear, barely ANY creases AT ALL, and NO writing!!!!  Importantly there is NO splits AT ALL (and NO repairs either!) - and the inner holds the record PERFECTLY!!!!  Naturally putting the heavy record anywhere near this VERY fragile inner is complete madness - and the previous owner realised this, and so he always kept the record stored in a plain inner sleeve (as it is now!)!!!!  The spine of the inner itself is also SUPERB (PERFECT side words) and without ANY doubt this has to be one of the BEST conditioned 'lyric' inner/inserts you will EVER see (most are complete write offs!)!!!!  WHAT A SUPERB INNER/INSERT!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press Flipback Outer Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The cover has NO splits, only some very VERY minor 'touching in' traces to the edges & spine, NO sticker marks, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), NO sticker tears, only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
